The variety of Miniature Dachshund dogs is huge, for there are three colors, three sizes and three different types of hair. This dog has a long body, but is very robust and agile, in spite of having very short limbs. This dog is an excellent hunter, and was bred for badger hunting. Their smelling sense is outstanding. Because of their bio-types and tendency to suffer disc problems (Dachshund paralysis), it is best not to make them climb up or down stairs, or stand on two legs.
