Semi-moist foods

This type of dog food contains over three times the amount of calories that canned food does. This type of food is a good option for puppies. In general it contains a well balanced and complete diet for younger dogs and it is also more economic. Semi-moist foods can be served alone or they can be served to the dog with cereals. This type of food contains a high amount of carbohydrates that are also appropriate for work dogs; but you should not feed this to dogs that suffer from diabetes. Keep in mind that in general this food does not last as long as canned or dry dog food.
