Regular Dental Control

Regular Dental Control for Dogs

Dogs teeth are stronger then mans'. They practically don't have cavities, but tartar is more frequent in small dogs. Canine oral hygiene means:

  • getting your dog used to getting it's teeth cleaned;
  • brushing it's teeth with a soft toothbrush and a specific toothpaste for dogs.

If the dog doesn't let it's teeth be cleaned you need to periodically give it special teeth cleaning bones, to automatically clean them.

You need to go to the veterinarian in time, he will eliminate the tartar without causing pain. When there's too much tartar it can cause gingivitis. If the dog has very bad breath it's possible that bacteria has extended so much that some teeth need to be pulled.
