Some people believe that the name bloodhound honors the dog's hunting skills. These dogs have a very high sense of smell that allows them to zero in on wounded prey. Bloodhounds have been known and are popular as trackers. Ingredients 1 tablespoon non salted butter 1 baby cabbage, chopped finely 1/3 cup cooked potatoes, diced 1 cup cooked beef, diced 1 cup dog broth (see directions for preparation) ½ tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 1 tablespoon tomato sauce ½ cup corn kennels (fresh or frozen) Salt Ground black pepper 225 grams fresh spinach, cleanedIn a big frying pan, melt the butter over medium heat and add in the baby cabbage and cook until they are soft and transparent. Add in the potatoes, beef, dog broth, Worcestershire sauce, and tomato sauce. Cook for about 20 minutes on low heat. Mixture should get thick but not too much, it should be stirrable. Then, add in the corn, salt, and the pepper to taste in the last 5 minutes of cooking. Steam the fresh spinach over boiling water for just a few seconds. Put the spinach on the dog's bowl and put the hash on top. Makes about 2 ½ cups of hash. |
