Dog training shock collarI consider the dog training shock collar to be quiet controversial. Having worked with dogs for many years I have a very intimate relationship with the four footed creatures. I enjoy training them and teaching them and have never considered a dog to be completely untrainable. The dog training shock collar is something which I never thought I would need nor did I ever suggests its use to someone else. However that has now changed. I found that in some instances it can be acceptable to use the dog training shock collar but never should it be handled by an unprofessional. I am very very adamant about that. Just think of the damage someone could do to a dog with a shock collar around his neck if the owner/trainer wasn't experienced or knowledgeable in the specific uses of these devices and the specific needs of dogs for humane treatment and understanding. Even if you have the most ill behaved and bad mannered disobedient dog that does still not mean he needs a dog training shock collar. If a dog has personality problems it is often the result of bad handling or a lack of training or even a well intentioned owner who didn't know what he was really doing. In some instances the problems with a dog are genetically hardwired into the dog. In either of these cases automatically opting for a dog training shock collar is not necessarily the best nor respectful decision. There are some other dog training collars which use other methods for delivering the correction and some of these would probably work better in most cases or at least are somewhat less harsh. |
