Dog Obedience in Agility Training

Dog Obedience in Agility Training

When we first see a dog practicing this sport, it is very difficult to imagine the amount of hours; dedication and training that made it so easy for the dog to get to where it is.

Obedience training must begin when the dog is still a pup, a period in which it is willing to play all the time. This is why, form the beginning, it will show great interest for agility, as it sees this sport as a game.

The first part of obedience training will be a bit different to a regular dog's education. This difference is that the dog will have to get used to obey different orders, such as sit down, walk, walk slowly, walk at certain distance from the owner, etc.

Before going on with this subject, we have to know there are groups of obstacles: jumping, contact, passing and stopping.
