Big Dog KennelSetting up a big dog kennel is a fun experience that will actually do much for your relationship with your dog. I found that out from personal experience when I built my German Shepherd a big dog kennel. Since my dog is so big and energetic, there was no way that I could get her anything small and so I decided that rather than take the chance of getting a dog kennel already built I would rather get her a modular panel kennel, of course that meant that I had a good amount of work on my hands setting that kennel up. | | | View our Dog Kennels & Houses |
| But I really had fun and in the end as I mentioned earlier it made me feel closer to my dog since I built her "home" with my own hands. I made the choice of buying the kennel in panels and setting it up myself after doing a little research into the question. The shape of my backyard had a lot to do with it too. The modular panel kennels can be set up into whatever shape you want to make them without a lot of difficulty or work and since my backyard is rectangular I wanted to take advantage of the available space. So I got nine modular kennel panels and one gate panel for a total of ten and set it up with two on each end and three along the sides. The kennel panels that I bought use quick connect frame components that made it much easier to put together and since it is all steel as opposed to aluminum I don't have to worry about my dog breaking or bending any of the connections. Keeping the gate on my big dog kennel from being opened by strangers or my dog was a concern at first until I someone suggested that I simply place a bike chain around the frame and gate so that only I could open it. |
