Hello, 1st post here. A neighbor has kittens available and my daughter (age 7) is bugging us to get one. My wife and I for various reasons don't want a cat in the house, but we'd love to be able to say yes to her. We live on Long Island NY.

The vet said this is fairly common that if a cat was in heat when spayed they will finish their cycle- but how long does it last! She has been yowling & rubbing all over everything for 9 days now!

We just got new furniture- couch & loveseat... of course of our in/out boys had to mark it within hours of us putting it in! DH wants to kill kitty...
